Motul

So, I got the bike back from the shop for the leaky valve cover gasket. They went ahead and checked the valve clearance for free and all are in spec at 64k miles. Had them change the oil to Motul 300 V full synthetic.
WOW! The bike has NEVER run and shifted so smooth. I've been using Mobil 1 and Repsol synthetic and Motul is significantly better as far as shifting action and general smoothness of the motor. I love it. From now on it's only Motul 300 V for me.

Quite expensive but worth it IMO and I run that in my ZX-14R. Haven't tried it yet in my other bikes but the other bikes aren't as high performance though...

I have been using Motul full synthetic since 2007 - first on my ZX11 and now the ZX14. While it is expensive it is cheap insurance in my view. Not only for the slicker gear shift but also managing wear. My ZX11 was on 128K without a rebuild when I crashed her and the insurer wrote it off. Damn shame ........ but I got a ZX14 out of it. :)
